She keeps herself busy running her own business ‘Auckland polo academy’ and chasing after her two young children. She has represented Australia on numerous occasions and is seriously looking forward to the challenge at Bromelton House playing alongside some great mates and taking on her kiwi friends.
Phillipa Fitz-Henry - 5
“Phillipa 'Pip' Fitz-Henry grew up riding polo ponies and played her first open game at age 12 alongside her father and older brother. Since then, she has travelled extensively, competing across Australia and around the globe, including the UK, New Zealand, Spain, Singapore, Ireland, Argentina, Zambia, the USA, and Pakistan. Pip takes great pride in representing Australia on the international stage, facing formidable teams from the UK and the US. When she’s not training polo ponies or jet-setting, Pip coaches at a local F45 in Jimboomba.”
Anna Dowling - 4
I grew up in the hilltops region of NSW, in Murringo on a farm with my four brothers, mum and dad. From the age of 5 I have been riding horses and first held a mallet at a similar age. Polo has been a big part of my life growing up, I will continue to do all that I can in order to improve and play all around the world. When I am not playing polo I love to spend time with family and friends. Outside of polo I study business and hope to start my own business in the future.
Katie Grimmond - 4
I started my polo career 20 years ago, whilst working for Sarah and Charles Van Wyk in South Africa. I have played for Australia on numerous occasions since 2009, here and overseas. I was a member of the first World Cup Polocrosse side in 2003. My passion for polocrosse led me to polo with polo highlights being trips to Ireland and New Zealand. I am very excited to play the September match with team mates who display competitive and respectful Sportsmanship and who are also my friends, on my favourite field in Australia: Bromelton House.Outside of polo I am the work health and safety officer at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Murgon, where I also work as a teacher assistant.
