Sub zero: *A player with a handicap of 6 goals or above may play in the sub zero, but only if playing with three -2 rated players. Any player rated 1 goal or above playing in the sub zero is not allowed to score any goals or take any penalty hits.
Minimum Handicap
If a player wishes to compete in a level higher than their current handicap requires, that player can request to have their handicap reassessed.
The player makes the request to their club handicap committee, who will forward the request onto the State Handicap committee for assessment, as per the APF handicapping policy.
If the state handicap committee agrees to the change, the player will be notified in writing and take on that revised handicap effective immediately. This will be their new APF handicap until the next official review date.
If the handicap of a player or players in a team has been raised during the season then:
- a team will only be allowed to play over the handicap limit with a player raised during the season for the duration of the tournament the team is currently playing in when the player's handicap is raised and
- a player raised during the season will only be allowed to play off their previous handicap for the duration of the tournament they are currently playing in when their handicap is raised.
