Results: 2014 BOQ Polo International, Saturday 5th April 2014

7 Apr 2014

The weather was unbelievably good as was the standard of polo.  Both matches were fiercely fought.

The School Teams match was junior development polo at its very best. The New Zealand Schools Team put on a very polished act. The Australian Schools Team held their own up to the 4th chukka but the Kiwis got the edge from then on to win 7 goals to 3.  Australian goals scored by Phil Greuter (2) & Hugh Cochrane (1).

In the Main Game, the South Americans went hell for leather from the first whistle and both teams provided spectators with an outstanding display of fast & furious polo. They wasted no time in scoring 2 goals in the first chukka and by the end of the third were leading 4 goals to 1. In the second half of the game the Australians made a good comeback but not quite enough to win. Final Result: South America 7 - Australia 5.
